Sheriff expands on fugitive effectiveness

Sheriff Vince Shambaugh has partnered up with the U.S. Marshal Service by providing a county deputy to the Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.

On June 27, Deputy First Class Christopher M. Roper was sworn in and appointed a special deputy.
This enables DFC Roper to work with the task force throughout multiple jurisdictions within the tri-state area to pick up dangerous felons in an efficient and speedy manner.

This appointment also fosters an outstanding working relationship with the U.S. Marshals thus expanding better police services and assets to the citizens of Morgan County.

DFC Roper has already been involved in operations in the area with the Marshal Service.
