Yost receives scholarship

On behalf of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University, Lesley D. Yost was awarded the Elizabeth Gorrell Harris Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year.

The Harris Scholarship was established from the estate of Elizabeth Gorrell Harris of Charleston to assist West Virginia residents in obtaining an arts and sciences degree at West Virginia Univeristy. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit. Mrs. Harris was a WVU alumna. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences in 1933 and her Master’s degree in education in 1949.

Yost is a Junior double majoring in Foreign Language and International Studies with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. Yost has studied abroad in Taiwan and Beijing, China for the past two summers. She currently carries a 4.0 GPA. Upon graduation in 2014, she plans to attend WVU Law School.

Yost is the daughter of David and Teresa Yost of Berkeley Springs.
