Zany theatrical & musical group to play Saturday

The theatric musical group Caravan of Thieves comes to Berkeley Springs State Park Saturday, July 28.

Caravan of Thieves brand themselves as “gypsy swinging serenading fire-breathing circus freaks” and delivers a show that is high energy, theatrical, humorous, musical and entertaining.

Part of the Morgan Arts Council’s Summer Concerts in the Park, the concert starts at 5:30 p.m. Rain location is the nearby Ice House art center.

Blending gypsy-flavored songwriting and a high-intensity show, the quartet performs original music with driving jazz rhythms, mesmerizing harmonies and fantastic stories using guitars, upright bass and a fiery violin.

Major sponsors for the concert series are Lot 12, Best Western Berkeley Springs Inn and the Star Theatre. Additional funding support comes from the National Endowment for the Arts and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts as well as local hotel-motel tax revenues.
