Gallery show at Lion’s Lair

The Lion’s Lair of Berkeley Springs will present, “Pots and Petals,” the first in a series of exhibits showcasing emerging and established artists.

The pottery of David Flohr and the photography/poetry of Jessica Valner will be on exhibit from Friday, June 29 through Sunday, July 29. The opening reception is set for Friday, July 6 from 6-9 p.m.

With both husband and wife sharing the same profession as Psychologists, they likewise share their passion for art and creativity: His through pottery, and her through creative writing and other mediums - photography being the most recent. The couple reside in Bethesda, Md.

Having been a student, teacher and kiln tender for the past 16 years at the Art League School in Alexandria, Va., he has integrated his passion for pottery and his professional work in art therapy into a workshop. The “Centering Circle” workshop, merging working with clay and personal growth work, has received national attention and was recently offered at the 2012 Psychology Network Symposium in Washington, D.C.
