The game with Mercersburg started out slow with the first quarter being 14 to 12 Indians. The Indians defense stiffened and took a 26-14 halftime lead. The defense prevailed as the young Freshmen outscored the blue storm 27-15 the second half to make the final 53-29.

Coach Mike Burks said “Robbie Bernstein had an awesome game scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.”

Between Cameron Johnson, Chris Kees and Kyle Harden and the rest of the team the young Indians had 34 rebounds, Brandon McCumbee lead the team with five assists.

On Friday night the Indians took on the Frankfort Falcons. The young Indians put the game away early. By halftime the score was 36-19 led by Brandon McCumbee 12, second quarter points. By the end of the third quarter the tribe was still up by 17 points so Coach Burks put in his sub players and told them to finish the game.

Burks told them if they scored 17 points this quarter they deserve to lose.
The Falcons made a run, but the Indians held on to win 59-51. “The second group did okay,” Coach Burks said. “They just need some more gym time, working against the first group really helps them,” he said.
