Recent sentences by Magistrate Greg Miller:
William A. Varner, 40, of Paw Paw was sentenced to a year in jail – all but 30 days of which was suspended – for battery on an officer. He must also pay $252 in restitution and court fees, and will serve a year’s probation.
Brandon Wade Wallen, 23, of Red Hill Road, Martinsburg, was sentenced to six months in jail – all but 10 days of which was suspended – for possession of marijuana, second offense. He must also work 80 hours of community service and pay $191 fees, and will be on a year’s probation.
Otice Jefferson Carder, 45, of Theodore Hovermale Road, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of 90 days in jail and placed on a year’s probation for brandishing a deadly weapon. He must also pay $191 fees.
James Adam Flowers, 26, of West Main Street, Hancock, was given a suspended sentence of 10 days in jail for battery. He must work 80 hours of community service and pay $291 fine & fees.
David Wayne Shackelford, 50, of Keystone Lane, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to two days in jail and ordered to pay $486 fine & fees for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
Randy Michael Miller, 29, of Hunters Camp Road, Great Cacapon, was placed on six months probation and ordered to pay $166 fees for possession of a controlled substance.
Aslyn Rose McBee, 19, of North Washington Street, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of three days in jail and was ordered to work 48 hours of community service for underage drinking. She must also pay $240 fine & fees.
Mathias Crosen, 31, of Whissen Lane, Berkeley Springs, was ordered to pay $216 fine & fees for disorderly conduct.

Wesley Everett Keddington, 42, of Romney was sentenced to 60 days in jail – all but 10 of which were suspended – for driving while his license was revoked and having no insurance. He must also pay $682 in fines & court fees, and will be on six months probation.
Brenda Ann Cornett, 48, of Ambrose Lane, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to 30 days in jail – all but 10 of which were suspended — for obstructing an officer and battery of an officer. She must also pay $332 in fees and will be placed on a year’s probation.
David Alfred Pfeuffer, 30, of East Fairfax Street, Berryville, Va. was given a suspended sentence of 90 days in jail and placed on a year’s probation for destruction of property. He must also pay $191 fees.
Richard Arlen Keller, 57, of Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, was placed on six months probation and ordered to pay $166 fees for possession of a controlled substance.
Blaine Michael Spring, 18, of Milo School Road, Great Cacapon, was ordered to pay $486 fine & fees for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages with a minor in the vehicle.
Joseph Adam Zahm, 22, of Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, was ordered to pay $461 fine & fees for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
Brandon Scott Gregory, 23, of Great Cacapon was ordered to pay $211 fine & fees for shooting within 500 ft. of a dwelling.
Seth Alexander Przbocki, 19, of Ijamsville, Md. was ordered to pay $211 fine & fees for underage drinking.
Brian Patrick Smith, 42, of Cabin Drive, Hedgesville, was ordered to pay $171 fine & fees for littering.
