Recent sentences by Mag-istrate Kermit Ambrose:

Brenda Lee Kazda, 48, of West Main Street, Hancock, was sentenced to six months in jail – all but 30 days of which were suspended – for battery and obstructing an officer. She was also sentenced to 15 days in jail for possession of a controlled substance. In addition, she must pay a total of $772 in fines & court fees, and will be on a year’s probation after her release.

Stephen Charles Brenner, 51, of Gloyd Way, Great Cacapon, was given a suspended sentence of 90 days in jail for battery. He must pay $166 fees, will be on a year’s probation and is prohibited from owning firearms for life.

Lloyd W. Decker, Jr., 52, of Breezewood, Pa. was given credit for time served and ordered to pay $191 fees for disorderly conduct.

Jerry W. Earnest of Paw Paw was ordered to pay $803 in restitution & fees for three worthless check offenses.
