Flyovers search for marijuana

West Virginia Police, working with other agencies and the U.S. Army conducted flights over Morgan, Berkeley and Jefferson counties searching for patches of marijuana last week.
State Police were assisted in the aerial search by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and West Virginia Natural Resource officers as well as the U.S. Army.
More than 800 marijuana plants were located and seized by officers.
Charges are currently pending against several individuals for cultivating the controlled substance.
