Accused killer indicted, plus 18 others

A Berkeley Springs man accused of murdering his father was one of 19 people indicted by the Morgan County Grand Jury on Tuesday, April 13.
Most of those indicted were arraigned before Cir-cuit Judge Gina Groh on Monday, April 19. At that time, they entered pleas and had trial dates and bond amounts set.

Murder
Stephen J. Tamburo III, 39, was indicted for the murder of Stephen J. Tamburo, Jr. in December 2008 and for concealing the dead body.
Tamburo is in the Eastern Regional Jail without bond. He also faces drug charges from an earlier indictment.

Sexual abuse
Myrick Peacock, 44, of Starlite Lane, Berkeley Springs, was indicted for six counts of sexually abusing a juvenile who was in his care and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Break-ins
Charles J. Barker, 25, was indicted for breaking and entering, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit crimes, unlawful assault, battery on officer, obstructing an officer, assaulting an officer and threats of terrorists acts.
Joshua S. Schlothauer, 25, of Martinsburg Road, Berkeley Springs, was indicted for burglary, driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, obstructing an officer and fleeing on foot from police.
Elmer Puffinberger, 44, of Berkeley Springs was indicted for burglary and destruction of property.

Drugs
William D. Dixon, 39, of River Road, Berkeley Springs, was indicted for manufacturing a controlled substance (marijuana), two counts of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and two counts of delivering marijuana, all in early April He was also indicted for conspiring with William L. Dixon to commit the crimes.
William L. Dixon, 19, of East Main Street, Everett, Pa., was indicted for manufacturing a controlled substance (marijuana), two counts of possession with intent to deliver, and two counts of delivering marijuana. He was also indicted for conspiring with William D. Dixon to commit the crimes.
Shawn E. Hann, 41, of Buck Valley Road, Warfordsburg. Pa. was indicted for six counts of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and one count of attempted delivery of a controlled substance in early April.
Lisa A. Willhide, 38, of Long View Drive, Berkeley Springs, was indicted for four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Michael J. Dorsey, 28, of Merlin Drive, Inwood, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Fraud
Donald D. Rutherford, Jr., 31, of Libby’s Ridge Road, Berkeley Springs, was indicted for four counts of fraud.
Jan Walker, 57, of Morgan Lane, Berkeley Springs, was indicted for embezzlement and fraudulent schemes.
Allan R. Timbrook of Shanks was indicted for a worthless check felony.
Earl D. Wilk, Jr., 27, of Bower Avenue, Hagerstown, was indicted for failure to appear in court for a case in which he had been indicted for obtaining money by false pretenses.

Non-compliance
John Phillip Tignor, 59, of Sheppard Lane, Berkeley Springs, was indicted for failing to register as a sex offender.
Stephen B. Wink, 27, of Middlefork Lane, Berkeley Springs, was indicted for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Child support nonpayment
Joshua L. Grapes, 29, of Bowlby Street, Waynesburg, Pa., was indicted for three counts of failing to pay child support.
Kevin R. Cain, 36, of Romney was indicted for failing to pay child support.
Bernard Sala, 51, of Johnny Cake Lane, Great Cacapon, was indicted for failing to pay child support.
