McClintock takes over as County Administrator

Jody McClintock is not new to Morgan County, but said she’s getting to know the community better through her new job as County Administrator. The Berkeley Springs High School graduate assumed the post on February 9, filling the job formerly held by Bill Clark — the county’s new full-time Economic Development Director.

McClintock came to the job from a position as Human Resources administrator for Macy’s in Hagerstown.

This is her first job in the government section, and McClintock said she is getting used to the difference between making decisions at a private company and in the government sector, where things have to be much more transparent.

First on her list of projects was helping the county absorb its new responsibility for the Animal Control office. Meanwhile, her other major job is lining up the details of the courthouse move, which she said will be a “team effort.”

In her position as County Administrator, McClintock will oversee human resources issues for 80 county employees and manage the functioning of the County Commission office and Animal Control. She said she is looking forward to working again in the community.
