11-12 p.m. Crafts – Meet at the Nature Center.
1-1:30 p.m. Bear Awareness. Which bear can run at 30 miles per hour? How did the Teddy Bear get its name? In the Nature Center.
3:30-4:30 p.m. Take a step back in time and discover the park's history.
Thursday, August 23
10-11 a.m. Meet at the Nature Center to begin this 1 1/2 mile hike.
1-1:45 p.m. Do you know which snake is West Virginia's largest?
3-3:30 p.m. Survival in the wild. Which animal is the best at surviving? Join at the Nature Center.
5-6 p.m. Ugliest Bug Contest. Meet at the Nature Center.
Special program tonight 7:30 p.m. Tom King
Meet at the Morgan Room tonight for a program provided by Tom King, a variety entertainer with the art of clowning, comedy magic, balloon sculptures, stilt walking and is internationally known as not only an entertainer but an "edutainer," a person who presents an educational program in the form of entertainment.
Friday, August 24
10-11 a.m. Join the naturalist for this relaxing walk to discover folklore and medicinal values of many plants. Meet at the lodge.
1-2 p.m. Wildlife signs all around. Meet at the Nature Center.
3-3:45 p.m Nature Bingo. Meet at the Nature Center.
5-5:30 p.m. Meet at the sand volleyball court for a fun family-oriented volleyball game.
7:30-8:30 p.m. Deer stroll. Meet the naturalist at the lodge.
