Music for a summer garden

THE POTOMAC CROSSING CONSORT will perform "A Day in a Summer Garden: A Musical Tableau" on Friday, August 17, at First United Methodist Church on South Green Street in Berkeley Springs. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by a reception in the church hall.
The quintet of tri-state musicians plays music from composers of the 13th through 21st centuries on Renaissance-style woodwinds and various stringed instruments. Members are, from left: William Hull of Sharpsburg, Md.; Samantha Redston of Berkeley Springs; Mike Kligerman of Warfordsburg, Pa.; Laura Chaskes of Berkeley Springs; and Anne Weatherholt of Hancock.
The concert is free to the public, with donations going to benefit the McEAT food bank and assistance program.
