Strovel is new rep for Capito

Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito announced that Chris Strovel is her new field representative for the Eastern Panhandle.

"Chris has lived and worked in the Eastern Panhandle for nearly 20 years. He has a unique understanding of the area that will be a valuable service for my office as well as those living in the Panhandle," Capito said.

As field rep, Strovel will work out of Capito's Martinsburg office and act as liaison between the congresswoman and constituents and local governments in Morgan, Berkeley, Jefferson, Hampshire, Hardy and Pendleton counties.

Strovel is a 1993 graduate of Shepherd University. He is currently news director for WEPM-AM in Martinsburg, as well as a host of "Panhandle Live," a morning talk-show on the station. He is married to Cindy Strovel and has three daughters.

Strovel replaces John Reisenweber, who recently joined Centra Bank in Martinsburg. He will start in Capito's office later this month.
