Cubbage-Fleece wedding
Daisha D. Fleece and Sam W. Cubbage were united in marriage on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the Berkeley Springs American Legion. Pastor Steve Dawson performed the double ring ceremony.
Fleece is the daughter of Wanda L. Fleece of Berkeley Springs and the late Robert "Gene" Fleece. Cubbage is the son of Donna J. Weller of Hancock and Samuel J. Cubbage of Artemas, Pa.
Escorted to the altar by her brother-in-law Mike Swink and given in marriage by her mother, the bride chose a floor length gown accented with beads and sequins. She chose a bouquet of white and blue roses with beads and baby's-breath.
Maid of honor was Brenda Shirley, friend of the bride, and flower girl was Destiny Allen. Best man was Ron Alger, friend of the couple. Ringbearers were Sammy and Austin Cubbage, sons of the couple. Usher was Brandon Fleece, nephew of the bride. Guest book attendant was Samantha Sherrard and program attendant was Heather Kave, both nieces of the bride.
Photographer was Beth Murray, friend of the bride and DJs were Jeff Oriend and Joyce Brizzi, friends of the couple.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the American Legion and was decorated by family and friends of the couple. The wedding cake was baked and decorated by Diane Swink, sister of the bride.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and a 1995 graduate of Valley College, Martinsburg, WV and is employed by WL Construction in Stephens City, Va.
After a honeymoon trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple reside in Berkeley Springs.
