Riffle-Waugh wedding

Ashley Michelle Waugh and Rocky Neil Riffle, Jr. were united in marriage on June 2, 2007 at Cacapon State Park gazebo in Berkeley Springs, Pastor Steve Dawson performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mark Waugh and Susan Waugh, both of Berkeley Springs. She is the granddaughter of Gene and Phyllis Michael and Pauline Waugh, all of Berkeley Springs, and the late Glen Waugh.

The groom is the son of Rocky Riffle Sr. of Berkeley Springs and Faye Wilson of Augusta; he is the stepson of Josie Riffle, also of Berkeley Springs. He is the grandson of the late Robert and Mary Riffle and Emmet and Audrey Rohbaugh.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a satin strapless gown with beaded lace and a tulle overlay on the skirt. The gown featured a split front and a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white roses accented with green flowers and sage green ribbon.

Margo Dick, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Kelly Riffle, sister of the groom, Stacey Brown, Cindy Waugh and Amanda Waugh, all friends of the couple. Flower girls were Tiffany Waugh and Payton Stotler.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with a black and white vest and long coat. The best man was Rocky Riffle Sr., father of the groom. Groomsmen were Adam Waugh, brother of the bride, Jimmy Pearce, Eric Weatherholt and Jonathan Waugh, friends of the couple. The ring barrier was Ethan Waugh.

Allen Keefer provided music and sound system during the ceremony and reception.

Flowers for the bride and bridesmaids were designed by the mother of the bride and the altar flowers were from the garden of Morgan County Master Gardener Larry Lower.

The reception was held at the American Legion. A three-tier wedding cake accented with hydrangea was created and displayed by Kenneth Sims of Berkeley Springs.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and a 2005 graduate of Shepherd University. She is employed in registration at City Hospital, Martinsburg.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Hampshire High School and a four year Navy veteran. He is employed as a carpenter at Callas Contractors, Hagerstown, Md.

After the honeymoon to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Berkeley Springs.
