Audubon Society Picnic
Families and individuals from the Morgan County area who are interested in nature and conservation are welcome to attend a Potomac Valley Audubon Society (PVAS) picnic supper at Cacapon State Park on Sunday, June 24.
The picnic will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Gazebo picnic shelter, which is located in the middle of the park's picnic area.
Food and beverages will be provided free of charge.
PVAS is now co-managing the new 354-acre Eidolon Nature Preserve on Sideling Hill near Great Cacapon. The picnic will offer a good opportunity to learn more about this new preserve and about PVAS's other endeavors. PVAS is also hoping to use the event to recruit interested people to help with the preserve.
Since PVAS is providing food and beverages, it would be helpful if those who plan to attend would notify Bill Belton, of Great Cacapon, at 258-3067 before Wednesday, June 20.
For more information, contact Bill Belton or Peter Smith at 304-876-1139 (a toll call from Morgan County).
