Concert for the animals
This Sunday, May 27 at 12 noon, Cacapon State Park, Berkeley Springs, is home to the second annual Concert For The Animals. This concert is sponsored by The Rock Shop and The Red Guitar School of Music and Music Services. All money raised from this event will go to the Morgan County Humane Society.
The concert this year has a wide variety of musical styles starting off with Allegheny Uprising, a Martinsburg string band that plays a mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass, followed by Flash, a Berkeley Springs quintet playing rock and roll and country music from thel'50s andl'60s. Third is Great Cacapon's own High Frequency with all original modern rock. Closing the show will be Mike Colyer and the Tone Hounds, of Berkeley Springs, performing a blend of swing, blues and rockabilly.
The concert is free. Tax deductible donations to Morgan County Humane Society will be accepted throughout the day. There will also be a moon bounce available for children and a silent auction with many locally donated pieces to raise money for MCHS.
