Ashley Shade presents senior vocal recital

Ashley Shade will be performing her senior vocal recital on Saturday, May 19 at the First United Methodist Church on Green Street. The recital will begin at 7 p.m.

Patricia Springer, Shade's long time vocal coach, will be the accompanist. Larry Springer will entertain as the master of ceremonies for the evening.

Shade is a member of the 2007 graduating class of Berkeley Springs HIgh School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the BSHS Band, Thespian Troupe and she is currently the secretary of her senior class.

She has performed in over 25 productions with the Ice House Theatre Program and the Berkeley Springs High School Thespian Troupe.

She has been a vocal and piano student of Patricia Springer for 10 years. She also trained with vocal instructor Dr. Janette Ogg at Shenandoah University for two years.

She is a member of the Berkeley Springs Church of Christ.

She will be attending West Virginia University in Morgantown where she will be studying theatre and vocal performance. She has been awarded scholarships through West Virginia University and the Division of Theatre.

The recital is free and open to the public.
