Historical and Genealogical Society to meet April 11

The first meeting of 2007 for the Morgan County Historical and Genealogical Society will be Wednesday, April 11, at 1 p.m. in the social room of the First United Methodist Church of Green Street in Berkeley Springs.

The executive committee will meet at 12:30 p.m. just prior to the meeting of the full membership. This meeting will also be in the social room of First United Methodist Church.

All current members of the society are encouraged to attend to help plan and organize the functions and business of the society. One of the most important functions is to maintain and operate the Morgan Room in the Morgan County Library. The room contains important historical and genealogical documents of Morgan County and its people.

If you do not belong to MCHGS buy interested in the history of the county or in genealogy, attend this meeting and consider becoming a member.

Any member who has not been active, is encouraged to attend and learn how to volunteer a few hours per month and help to society and the visitors to the Morgan Room, who are doing either historical or genealogy research.
