10 vie for five seats in Bath
What looked like a scarcity turned out to be a surplus of candidates for Bath Town Council by the time the filing season for the town election closed on Saturday, March 10.
When it was over, ten candidates had filed for the five town council seats up for grabs in the June 12 municipal election.
Among those who filed were all four current council members – David Crosby, Kenneth Easton, Nancy Harvey and Dale Lutman. There is presently a vacant council seat.
Also filing for the five seats were former councilman Dave Duncan and five candidates who have never held town office – Rebecca Mallory, Scott Merki, Ryan Rebant, Michelle Ritchie and James Slough.
Mayor Susan Webster was the only candidate who filed for the mayor's post. Town Recorder Garnet Marsh is also unopposed in her bid for reelection.
