County Science Fair

The Morgan County Science Fair was held on Saturday, February 3 at Warm Springs Middle School. Students participated in three divisions:

Division I, grades nine-12, Logan Lyda, first place, Chemistry. In Division II, grades six-eight, Biochemistry, first place, Nathan Quarantillo; Computer Science, first place, Faith Stevenson; Earth and Space Science, first place, Candace Ziler; Engineering, first place, Justin Bean; Environmental Science, first place, Jennifer Burdock; Medicine and Health, first place, Natalie Redick, second place, Ricky Hensley, third place, Casandra Burch; Physics, Dylan Beddow, first place; Zoology, Levi Ellis, first place; Team Category, first place, Thad Osborne/Logan Reed, second place, Willa Hahn/Diandra MacLeod, third place, Brittany Stotler/Lindsay Grace, honorable mention, Emily Defibaugh/Brandy Kerns.

Division III, grades four-five, Chemistry, first place John Kuykendall, second place, Micah Cheshire, third place, Jerri Napfel, honorable mention, Samantha Veara, Lindsay Unger, Megan Strobridge; Earth and Space Science, first place, Kirsten Fox; Engineering, first place, Brandon Rogers, second place, Ryan Cole, Environmental Science, first place, Neil Kerns, second place, Ty Smith, third place, Aidan McDaniel; Medicine and Health, first place, Alissa Guinta; Team Category, first place, Coleman Spinks/Ricky Miller, second place, Collin Donadieu/Garrett Stone, third place tie, Michaela Johnston/Amy Woodward and Corey Osborn/Joe Clark, honorable mention, Becky Ack/Brittany McCumbee.

Division II Trophy Winners: first place – Dylan Beddow, second place, Jenny Burdock, third Place, Natalie Redick. Division III Trophy Winners: first place – Coleman Spinks/Ricky Miller, second place, John Kuykendall, third place tie, Micah Cheshire and Brandon Rogers. Students in Division II qualifying to attend the Eastern Panhandle Junior Regional Science Fair, Thad Osborne, Logan Reed, Brittany Stotler, Lindsay Grace, Willa Hahn, Diandra MacLeod, Dylan Beddow, Jenny Burdock, Natalie Redick, Faith Stevenson and Nathan Quarantillo.

The Eastern Panhandle Junior Regional Science Fair will be held on March 21 at Shepherd University.
