Stotler reelected as president
Morgan County Commissioner Glen Stotler was unanimously reelected as commission president at the Wednesday, January 2 county commission meeting.
Commissioner Tommy Swaim made the motion to reappoint Stotler as president. Commissioner Brenda Hutchin-son seconded the motion.
The commissioners set the meeting and holiday schedule and the commissioner board appointments for the year at their meeting. There were no changes in their board responsibilities.
Committee reappointments
Swaim will again sit on the Warm Springs Run Watershed Committee, the County Extension Service Committee, the Morgan County Planning Commission, the War Memorial Hospital Board and the Rural Water Committee.
Hutchinson was reappointed to the Morgan County Econo-mic Development Authority,
the Chamber of Commerce,
the Farmland Preservation Board, the 911 Advisory
Board, the Senior Life Board, the Workforce Investment Board and the Eastern Panhandle Transportation Authority.
Stotler will again serve on
the Morgan County Emergency Services Council, the Region 9 Planning & Development Council, the Morgan County Fire Board, the Employee Wages & Benefit Board, the Park Advisory & Planning Board and the Parks & Recreation Board.
Board of Equalization
The commission will meet in regular session this Friday, January 11 and again on Friday, January 25.
The commission's Board of Equalization meetings are scheduled for Friday, February 1, Thursday, February 7, Wednesday, February 20, Friday February 22 and Thursday, February 28 at the commission meeting room in Berkeley Springs.
The Wednesday, February 13 Board of Equalization meet-
ing will be held at the Paw
Paw Senior Center from 3 to
5 p.m.
County residents can appeal their property assessments at the February Board of Equalization meetings. Call County Assessor John Allen Swaim at 258-8570 first if you have questions or issues regarding your assessment.
