Kesecker-Dekle wedding

Katie Dekle and Scott Kesecker were married September 15, 2012 at Memorial Baptist Church, in Staunton, Va. Rev. Temple Meyers officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Dekle of Staunton, the granddaughter of MaryAnne Dekle and the late John Dekle, as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. John Richardson.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kesecker of Mount Sidney, Va., the grandson of Arless Kesecker, and the late Pearl Kesecker, as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Walter Shockey, Jr.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Molly Sheets, and the matron of honor was Danielle Bowman. The bridesmaids were Allison Hoffman, Ashley Reh, Jennifer Esposito, Molly Cook, Ryan Goodman and Sarah Taylor. All of whom were close friends of the bride. The junior bridesmaids were cousins of the bride and groom Lauren Dekle, Hannah Dekle, Jessica Dekle, Nativa Kesecker and Rachael Kesecker. The flower girls were cousins of the groom, Kyla Jenkins and Naomi Kesecker.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Kiley Kesecker. The groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Parks Dekle and other friends of the groom; Brian Thompson, James Corbin, Kyle Simmons, Kevin Roberts and Matt Wilson.

A candle was lit in honor and remembrance of Calvin Daniel Sheffer, who was a close friend of the couple.

A rustic barn reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held immediately after the ceremony at a private residence in Staunton. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents was held at Mill Street Grill.

Following a honeymoon in West Virginia, the couple resides in Charlottesville, Va.
