School personnel changes

The Morgan County School Board approved the following personnel actions at recent meetings:
Paw Paw Elementary kindergarten teacher Lorra Root transferred to a position as Widmyer Elementary first grade teacher, effective beginning with the 2013-2014 school year.

Paw Paw Elementary sixth grade teacher Anne Helmick was granted an unpaid leave of absence from approximately March 13 until the end of the school year.

Warm Springs Intermediate School fifth grade teacher Kathryn Burkhart resigned, effective at the end of November 7.

Widmyer Elementary first grade teacher Denise Crouse resigned, effective at the end of November 7.

Renee Kidwell resigned as halftime itinerant school nurse, effective at the end of December 7.

Sabra Maguire was employed as a halftime long-term substitute fourth grade teacher for Paw Paw Elementary, starting December 5 through the end of the school year.

Laura Steepleton, Cynthia Graves, Lindsey Crabtree and Cody Hess were hired as substitute teachers.
Sandra Rentschler, Jodie Sites and Richard White resigned as substitute teachers.

Service personnel
Kim Khuen was transferred from a position as bus driver for the Paw Paw to James Rumsey run to a position as bus driver for Route 522.

Vernon Rankin was employed as a bus driver for the Paw Paw to James Rumsey run, beginning December 19. Rankin was removed from the substitute list.

Extra duty
Sabra Maguire was approved as Title I interventionist at Paw Paw Elementary, starting December 5, as needed.

Lisa Zembower was employed as technology integration specialist for Paw Paw Schools, effective beginning November 7 through the end of June 30.

Gena Giumarro and Margaret Hill were chosen as extended day after-school teachers for Pleasant View Elementary, as needed.

Charity Brinegar, Jacklyn Futrell, Adam Keeling, Summer McClintock, Lisa Osborn and Lisa Shingleton were approved as substitute extended day after-school teachers for Pleasant View Elementary, as needed.

Mariah Lykins was selected as support staff for the Science Fair and Math Field Day at Warm Springs Intermediate School.

Scott Lykins was hired as support staff for the Science Fair at Warm Springs Middle School.

Josh Rider was employed as support staff for the Social Studies Fairs at Warm Springs Middle School and Berkeley Springs High School.

Kimberly Hamrick was assigned as support staff for Math Field Day at Paw Paw High School.

School nurse Renee Kidwell was hired for 16 extra duty hours from November 28 through December 7.

Coaches
Mike Burks was chosen as assistant boys’ basketball coach for Berkeley Springs High School.

Fred Sirbaugh was named assistant softball coach for Berkeley Springs High School.

Anthony McDonald was hired as assistant baseball coach for Berkeley Springs High School.

Michael Webster was approved as assistant girls’ basketball coach for Berkeley Springs High School.

Cody Hess was employed as assistant football coach for Berkeley Springs High School.

Jeff Derby was selected as an unpaid assistant girls’ basketball coach for Berkeley Springs High School.

Ashley Hovermale was assigned as an unpaid assistant girls’ basketball coach for Berkeley Springs High School.

Brian Maslowski resigned as assistant wrestling coach for Berkeley Springs High School, effective at the end of December 18.

Temporary/part-time
Linda Unger was chosen as county writing coach, as needed.

Richard Vance was hired as a counselor for Paw Paw Schools for one day a week for 20 weeks, as needed.

Cheryl Fox was approved as an interventionist for Widmyer Elementary, as needed.

All personnel changes are effective for the 2012-2013 school year, unless noted.
