WV Humanities Council Grant deadline

The West Virginia Humanities Council, the state affiliate of the National Endownment for the Humanities, serves West Virginia through grants and direct programs in the humanities. The Humanities Council budgets more than $600,000 for grants and programs each year.

A variety of grants are offered to nonprofit organizations that support educational programming. The Human-ities Council minigrant deadlines occur every 60 days for projects requesting $1,500 or less, with upcoming deadlines of February 1 and April 1.

The West Virginia Humanities Council recently awarded new minigrants:
Concord University, “Creating Environmental Mythology,” (Mercer County).

West Virginia Junior Classical League, “West Virginia Junior Classical League 2013,” (Ohio County).

High Rocks Educational Corporation, “New Voices Creative Writing Workshop and Reading Series,” (Pocahontas County).

Rivers to Ridges Heritage Trail, “Human Adaptation of the Kanawha River,” (Putnam County).
