Recent sentences from Magistrate Kermit Ambrose:
Robert Grant Atkinson, 47, of Fruithill Farm Lane, Berkeley Springs, faces 6 months and a day in jail and $166 in fines for battery. He will immediately serve 3 months and pay $191 in further fines for possession of a controlled substance less than 15 grams.

Calvin Kent Stinson, 51, of Charlotte, N.C., will spend 30 days in jail and pay $266 in fines for carrying a concealed weapon, plus $166 for improper registration of a weapon.

Daniel Steven Dailey, 31, of Harrison Avenue, Berkeley Springs, must spend 2 days in jail and paid $190.80 in costs and $25.00 in restitution for destruction of property. Dailey also paid $251 in costs for shoplifting.

Angelic Sheree Bearup, 41, of Waterstone Lane, Berkeley Springs, paid $171 in fines and $78.34 in restitution for shoplifting.
