Southern Fulton ends Lady Indians winning streak

In a match-up of Indians, it was the Southern Fulton’s Lady Indians who used five three-pointers and built a 34-18 half-time lead to run away from the visiting Berkeley Springs Lady Indians 69-39.

The loss snapped Berkeley Springs four game winning streak and kept the Lady Indians under 60 points for the first time all season.

It was also the first time this season that an opponent had scored more than 34 points against the Berkeley Springs defense.

Sarah Haynes led Berkeley Springs with 19 points while teammate Casey Solomon chipped in 15 points.

Next up for the Lady Indians is an away contest at Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy in Winchester, Va. Junior varsity game will start at 6 p.m. with varsity tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
