Hospice for the holidays

The holidays can be especially challenging for people living with a serious illness. Pain, shortness of breath, anxiety and hospitalizations can keep people away from spending the holidays in the comfort of their own home.

Hospice of the Panhandle can help support patients and families in their desire to be at home for the holidays by scheduling nurses, social workers, aides and chaplains to make home visits; managing pain and other symptoms; offering volunteers to provide respite; and if necessary help arrange for patients to travel by coordinating care with a hospice near their destination.

Often people wait until after the holidays to call for help. Don’t wait. Call now and allow Hospice to make this a comfortable and peaceful holiday for you or a loved one.
