Recent sentences from Magistrate Kermit Ambrose:
The case against Johnny Lane Porter, Jr., 34, who was arrested as a fugitive from justice, was sent on to Morgan County Circuit Court for extradition proceedings.

Randy Junior Michael, 45, of Greenway Drive, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of six months in jail and placed on a year’s probation for attempted extortion by threat. He must also pay $241 fine & court fees and have no contact with the victims.

Wayne Allen Newton, 60, of Catawba Drive, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of six months in jail and placed on a year’s probation for domestic battery. He must also pay $166 fees and attend a counseling program.

Richard Lee Simmons, 50, of North Cannon Avenue, Hagerstown, was ordered to pay $211 fine & fees for disorderly conduct.

Recent sentences from Magistrate Greg Miller:
Gary Lee Walter, 47, of Luther Michael Road, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of 30 days in jail and placed on a year’s probation for domestic battery. He must also pay $191 court fees and attend a counseling program.

Jeffrey Allen Shanholtz, 41, of Cherry Run Road, Hedgesville, was ordered to pay $677 fine & fees and placed on six months probation for possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

Alex Calvin Claar, 19, of Cashew Road, Alumbank, Pa. was ordered to pay $626 fines & fees and placed on a year’s probation for possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

Joseph Russell Edwards, 28, of Poinsettia Drive, Saginaw, Michigan was ordered to pay $342 fines & fees and was placed on six months probation for possession of a controlled substance and failing to obey a traffic control device.

Tammy Lynn Buckner, 49, of Joshua Drive, Martinsburg, was ordered to pay $191 fees and placed on a year’s probation for possession of a controlled substance.
