Two sentenced in circuit court

Two men were placed on probation by Judge David Sanders in Morgan County Circuit Court on January 25 after they pled to crimes.

Adam L. Saville, 20, of Plantation Place Drive, Martinsburg, was given a suspended sentence of one-to-15 years in prison for burglarizing a Morgan County home last August. Saville was placed on three years probation and must pay $300 restitution plus court costs.

Firearms confiscated from Paw Paw home

SIXTEEN RIFLES, SHOTGUNS AND HANDGUNS WERE CONFISCATED by Morgan County Sheriff's Deputies when they went to serve a Paw Paw man with an Emergency Protection Order. Shown with the weapons are Chief Deputy Vince Shambaugh, Sheriff Ronald McIntire and Deputy Tony G. Link, the investigating officer.

Police went to the Paw Paw home of Lloyd Howard Fishel after being told of threats made by Fishel, who had a record of being convicted of felony assault in Hagerstown in 1984, according to police reports. While serving the protection order, deputies noticed a 12-gauge shotgun in Fishel's residence, spurring a search which turned up 15 other firearms throughout the house, according to Link. Fishel was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
