Ambulance fee brings in $587,850

Some $587,850 in ambulance fees were received in the last year as of June 30, said Miriam Rider, Morgan County ambulance fee coordinator and sheriff's tax deputy.

Around 86% of the ambulance fees were collected, Rider said. That number was running about the same as the percentage of tax bills and fire fees that are delinquent, she said.

Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded by Hettie and Bill Ballweber of Boonsboro, Maryland. Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue area representative Shelly Blankenship organized Saturday's adoption event.

Greenway Cemetery annexed to town

The Morgan County Commissioners conditionally approved the Town of Bath's request to annex Greenway Cemetery after a public hearing on Friday, August 8.
